Crane Lift and Winter Prep Set the Stage for Climate-Controlled Hot Yoga
The day started early and in true Indiana winter fashion, it started cold. Snow covered the roof, and before any equipment could be staged, crews were up there shoveling and clearing the surface to safely prepare the site.
With the roof ready, a crane was brought in to lift the existing HVAC unit off the building. Removing the old system clears the way for what comes next. An opening will be cut into the roof deck, followed by the installation of a new curb flown into place by crane. Once set, the new HVAC unit will be installed on top of the curb, forming the backbone of a system designed to handle the heat and humidity demands of Body Alive Fitness’ climate-controlled hot-yoga room.
This rooftop milestone keeps the buildout moving forward and sets the stage for the next phase of work. Even on a cold, snow-covered morning, progress continued — all in preparation for a space built to bring the heat.
