Redevelopment Through Commercial Construction
KennMar Construction completed the redevelopment and interior buildout of Benge’s Ace Hardware at the Nichol Avenue development in Anderson, Indiana. The project transformed an existing structure into a modern, fully functional retail space designed to support daily operations while creating a welcoming environment for the surrounding community.
Redeveloping an existing building required careful planning and close coordination across every phase of construction. From selective demolition through final finishes, the KennMar Construction team worked to modernize the space while addressing the unique challenges that come with adaptive reuse. The result is a durable, efficient retail environment that supports both customer experience and long term operational needs.
The success of the redevelopment was on full display during the Grand Opening celebration, which was met with strong community support. Dozens of customers lined up early to take part in the event, and Mayor Broderick was in attendance as Brent Benge helped cut the ribbon alongside leadership from the Benge’s Ace Hardware team.
