Laying the Groundwork for a New Fitness Destination
Construction is officially underway for the tenant buildout of Body Alive Fitness at the Clay Terrace shopping center in Carmel, Indiana.
This project marks the early stages of transforming an existing retail space into a new fitness destination. Initial work has focused on preparing the site for construction, beginning with a full interior demolition to clear the space and establish a clean slate for the buildout ahead.
With demolition complete, the project has progressed into trenching and underground plumbing work for the new restroom facilities. While much of this work happens below the surface, it represents a critical phase of construction that sets the foundation for future framing, mechanical systems, and interior finishes.
As the buildout continues, additional phases will include structural framing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins, followed by the finishes that will ultimately bring the space to life. Each step builds on the last to ensure the space meets both functional requirements and long-term durability.
